Get ready for the 7th annual installment of the Juneteenth Chicago Black Bar Crawl on Saturday June 17th! Enjoy food / spirit specials all day! This event supports black owned restaurants/lounges in Chicago's River North and South Loop. Let’s have a great time and celebrate. June 24: Rhythm & Beats Block Party (Chicago)

The Rhythm & Beats Block Party seeks to connect culture through RnB, AfroBeats, and Amapiano music! For one say only, you're invited to attend an immersive experience of DJs, Dance, Fashion, Food, and Positive Vibes...all under one roof! Attendees are encouraged to add to the ambinace and rep the culture by dressing up in fashions representative of their favorite artist.

Sept 9th: Howard V. Spelhouse Wknd (DC)

Howard will host Morehouse on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023. The game will mark the 39th overall meeting between the two schools on the gridiron. Howard and Morehouse have played on the gridiron 37 times dating back to 1923 when the Bison defeated the Maroon Tigers 10-0. Howard holds a 26-10-2 all-time series lead. Howard competes in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Maroon Tigers are members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) at the Division II level.
Oct 20: 7th Annual HU Bar Crawl

The 7th annual HU Bar Crawl sponsored by Makers Mark is a Howard Homecoming staple! This national event attracts over 2,500 Howard Alumni, DMV Natives, and Friends annually from all over the globe! This event will take place on the historic U Street in Northwest DC. The event includes drink specials, open bar (specific locations/times), and souvenir giveaways. Locations TBA 48 hours before event. All events will follow current CDC guidelines and best practices.
Oct 21: Blaque Mecca Block Party

This tailgate/block party style event will take place outdoors immediately following the football game. The event will feature DJs, cocktails, food trucks, and socializing amongst Howard alumni and friends from across the country. Situated on an 11,000 square foot outdoor venue, and built inside a refurbished 5000-series Metro railcar at the Rhode Island Avenue Metro station, our multi- purpose bar, and cultural venue provides an arts-driven space meant to connect people across the community and celebrate DC’s rich history and culture.

The MOVEMAKERS was started in 2006 by 5 brothers from Howard University that had a shared vision of producing the best events for young professionals across the globe. Today, in partnership with some of the most well known brands in the world, the MOVEMAKERS footprint can be seen in Chicago, DC, New York, and Miami.
