Black Bar and Restaurant Week aims to highlight Black-owned bars, restaurants, and spirits brands in cities across the U.S. This annual, nationwide event takes place in select cities during the Month of May and lasts for one week in each city. Throughout the week, participating Black-owned venues and brands are featured on our site, offering exclusive specials to voucher holders on selected days. Joshua Mercer founded the MOVEMAKERS in 2006 along with 5 classmates from Howard University, they had a shared vision of producing the best events for young professionals in cities across the globe.
